Medieval Times

I have been studying Medieval Times. The Medieval Times took place in Europe. There are many important things I have learned from researching. Cathedrals are huge castle-like churches. The peasants' clothing was ratty. But, the wealthys' clothing was elegant. Their weapons were the beginning of our weapons that we used today in the army. Today we have a larger variety of food because of our transportation system. The feasts were a form of entertainment. Monks lived in monasteries. Medieval entertainment was plays, games, music, jousting, and sports. Music was listened to while eating food, but not for delightment. There are many games today that are based on medieval games. Shuffleboard is based on a medieval game called Shovelboard. The education is different from the way we learn today. They learned to read and write. We learn math, language arts, science, social studies, and languages. The nobles were shocked when they found out they had to pay money for goods. Mythical beasts from the middle ages were imaginary. Page, squire, to knight was the order of knighthood. The torture was cruel, but it was done for a reason. I'm glad I studied the Medieval Times because it relates to our present day life.
